"Duvale Priory is one of the nicest places we have stayed, ist perfect for a gathering of friends or large families. The area and rooms are very clean, there is enough space for everyone, the living room is very big, a place for karaoke and play billiards where you can have fun with friends. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and can accommodate a large family in the dining and living room. There is a hot tub, bbq place in the garden and a large area for children to play. We enjoy it especially the kids. There are great nearby attractions such as Exmoor National Park: Lynmouth and town of Lynton, The Cliff Railway, Valley of Rocks, Tunnels Beach, Budleigh Salterton beach and on the way home is Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. The owners are very nice and kind, (Rosena♡ & her mother)
if you need something or have a problem just let them know, you can easily ask. we would love to come back to this place, I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy a quiet and very cozy place like this."

"Wow!! What a place. We were met on arrival by Rosena. She gave us a tour of the priory and briefed on how to operate the hot tub, log burner etc. a lovely, friendly, helpful lady.
There were 17 of us and we all had a great time. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with every imaginable type of utensil. The dining room is one if the best we’ve seen. Even had nice fairy light up in the ceiling to add even more ambience.
Hot tub very warm and bubbly.
Bed rooms all well presented with en suits in most.
The log burner threw out alot of heat a nice comment from one of my daughters she said the front room was very cosy and hugged you as you entered nice words indeed.
Plenty of parking
All in all a gem of a place to hold large get togethers. Well done Rosena"

"Loved this place. We booked for a weekend to celebrate a family 80th birthday.

The owner was really helpful prior to the booking letting us know about the place and answering questions. After booking email communication was timely and helpful.

We were in the barn that can sleep up to 42. The accommodation was great. It's made up of separate but joined sections, each with kitchen and lounge areas but also with 2 large central lounge areas and a large dining area.

We went in January and despite the cold weather the house was toasty throughout our stay. The ensuite shower in my room was warm and fast flowing. The bed was comfy and a great night's sleep was had.

The main kitchen was well equipped multiple dishwashers made keeping on top of dishes an easy job. There were additional kitchen areas in other parts of the barn which could be useful if you were not eating together all of the time. The main dining area has "Christmas" white lights strung along the ceiling which makes for a lovely look and feel to the area.

There were plenty of sofas and comfy chairs in the main lounge area, and again pleasant seating in the individual areas.

There are outside table and chairs both front and back of the property and a lovely enclosed seating area on the rear garden. Although due to the coldness we were not able to make much use of these. The rear garden is fully enclosed although a determined dog could probably make it's way through there fence on the wall. There is an outside table tennis table and bats and balls are provided.

Behind the garden is a lovely pond with multiple birds nesting in and around. There are also a couple of fields where you can walk dogs.

There is a hot tub in the garden which provided some of our party a welcome couple of hours relaxing in the warmth despite the coldness of the evening.

The house and facilities (hot tub etc) were very clean and tidy when we arrived, and there were plenty of vacuum cleaners for use ensuring it could be left clean when we left

There was fast internet connection and also multiple TVs with sky q and free play boxes. We enjoyed making use of the pool table

It was very easy to get to the house, only a short distance from the of the dual carriageway at Tiverton and is located close to some lovely countryside. We drive to Tarr Steps for a short walk along the river.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, the house was a perfect setting for our celebration and provided all the facilities we needed. We would certainly consider going back for a similar family gathering."

"Very very nice place to stay when we went we had a group of 30 people 15 adults and 15 children in our group the ages ranged from 3 to 65. We always had something to do, not to far from local attractions, the landlady was wonderful and very happy to get keen to help."

"Just came back from a fantastic team building! Strongly recommend this place, perfect for company and private events!"

Fantastic accommodation in beautiful grounds A large group of us stayed in Duvale Barn for my sisters hen weekend, this included a variety of ages from 86 - 27 and it was absolutely fantastic! The most perfect property for any large groups - spacious communal areas but with some bedrooms far enough away for those that want some rest and relaxation. The house is equipped with everything you could need and every person that joined us commented on how fantastic the accommodation was. The owner was very welcoming and anything I had to contact her about, she could not have been any more helpful or accommodating. I have seen some reviews that complain about having money deducted from their deposit due to damage / breakages / misuse of the property…all this is made extremely clear to you on arrival and it’s very apparent a lot of pride is taken in this property so I personally don’t think it’s a big ask to be respectful and clean up after yourself!!! Couldn’t recommend this beautiful property enough!

We visited for a long weekend as a group of 19 The new Sauna and outdoor seating and chill out area were amazing, WIFI was surprisingly good. On a whole very happy and the owner was extremely helpful.
